I have been growing orchids for 15+ years now. In 2008, I took my first lesson in Sogetsu Ikebana. For me, growing orchids and creating Ikebana arrangements are my meditation. I created this blog to share my pictures and ideas with you. It is like my JOURNAL and helps me keep track of my progress.

Fruiting Plant Materials
It is hard to find any fruiting plant materials this time of year, so our teacher said we may use branches and stick them into the fruits of our choice instead.
I purchased some small sized apples and the willow branches for my fruiting plant materials, which had to be fixed firmly and with good balance. I chose the orange carnations because I just wanted this arrangement to look bright and cheerful! (3/3/2011)
