Back to Basic Style and Straight Line

In teacher Meei Huey Lin's class on August 7th.  I choose two subjects for my arrangement. One was any variation of Nageire style. Because I would like to refresh my technical skill for tall vase arrangement. The materials were magnolia branch, zinnia and black eye Susan in the ceramic vase. The other one was straight line arrangement. All the materials that I needed, found in my garden.
Horizontal Style Nageire.

Horse tail, zinnia and Japanese Anemone
Done in the class, without zinnia

Thinking about my orchids, I am not so happy and feel sorry for them. They are not growing well at all in these days!
See! I have only three orchids blooming for July and August.

My Summer Garden 2018

After all my Spring flowers faded (most of them were perennial plants). Now it's Summer flower's turn, some of them are blooming beautifully, because of so much rain in June and July. The trees, shrubs, grass and even the weeds are so green and lush. The landscaping of my front yard looks a bit crowded compare to last year.
