Freestyle Using Craspedia and Dried Vine

This arrangement was made a week ago when lily were still available, they faded now, no more in my garden.  

Materials:  Craspedia (Billy ball), Hosta and dried vine / ceramic vase

Sketching and Arranging

This June class was our last lesson of the session. We only had one lesson to prepare for, which is in book  3-20 “Sketching and Arranging”. Followed by special luncheon in restaurant for celebration of our Main Line class group which has been stepping up from Study Group to Branch. (6/20/2023)

Classical Music and Freestyle

Sometimes, I like listening to classical music and doing Ikebana, that’s the most enjoyable time for me! Especially Chopin-Piano Concerto No.1 is one of my favorites.

 I was playing around with materials:  painted allium, sunflower and soft wrapping paper in the basket.

Golden Maple and Lily

For this simple arrangement, I used only golden maple branch and orange lily, they were from my garden, and an art form bamboo container.

The End of Season for Peony and Iris

Bye bye! See you next year to the peony and iris in my garden, so is the allium. But at least I still have drying allium that I can use. That’s a good thing! For all these colors I chose a white Lenox vase.

Less Is More

I compared these two arrangements using more and less peonies. I think I like the first photo better. You know why I used a lot of peonies? Because that’s all I have left! Their blooming season is just too short!
