Spring has sprung! April’s virtual little show encouraged MWGC members to enter an arrangement in a horizontal or arched format. I always enter my Ikebana style arrangement to the little show to compare with our members’ western style. At the same time I also present the art of Japanese flower arrangement.
MWGC December virtual little show: “High Expectations," a vertical arrangement with emphasis on upward materials. Due to the busy holiday season, only three members entered this December's little show. I always participate in my garden club's virtual little show and always make an Ikebana style arrangement. This arrangement could be for the New Year's celebration!

May is the last chance to submit an entry to MWGC. The title for this month is “Sailing Ship," just before we break and sail off into the summer months. A creative floral design of movement from wind or .... to mimic a ship’s sail. (all entries must be emailed by 5/18, I submit the second picture below for virtual little show)

For our February virtual little show, we are focusing on Dinner On The Orient Express: A functional table setting using a serving tray. It is interesting to see how different my Ikebana style is and other members’ western styles are! (Please see below #2 sample.) We can learn from each other, for me I learned a lot from our Martha Washington Garden Club (MWGC). (2/23/2021)
