The 4th Annual Exhibition presented by Sogetsu Buxmont Study Group was held on November 9. The theme of this year was "East Meets West." When I was thinking about my design, I had to consider the words East and West. How to connect them together was a little bit of a challenge.
My first arrangement "The Window into Two Worlds" was my title. I need your imagination to explain it! Using a twig frame, azalea, bitter sweet, mum, pine and lichened wood branch / Ceramic
The second arrangement was my demonstration "A Romantic Moment". My choice for this container was a big champagne glass (West), the Ikebana arrangement (East) was a basic style. For the final touch were two candles and a fan. I heard an audience in back seat saying loudly SO ROMANTIC!
The rest of the arrangements were the study group members' creation. Personally, my humble opinion is: I would not put a figurine or object to accompany an arrangement for this theme "East meets West." Their titles I leave for your imagination.
